Ik Multimedia Amplitube 3 Free Vst

IK Multimedia's Amplitube has long been amongst the front runners in the amp‑modelling software race, and they've upped the pace with Amplitube 3. In this version, their VRM (Volumetric Response Modelling) amp modelling process has been refined to improve the dynamic response of the amps. AmpliTube is also MIDI compatible so IK’s MIDI interfaces (like iRig MIDI 2) let you connect external controllers and associate patches or parameters with just a few taps. High-resolution sound AmpliTube can work as a 64-bit plug-in for the most popular DAW (such as Pro Tools, Logic, GarageBand, Cubase, Live, Reaper) or can be used in stand. Amplitube free vstI've seen several posts on the subject of using AmpliTube in Reaper 5, so if anyone has figured out the correct process please let me know.
I know where my Amplitube4.dll and Amplitube4.vst3 extension files are located in my PC, but when I try to add them from the preferences window in Reaper, they don't show up.
In other words, they exist, but the window doesn't show them as being there.Shop
And I'm not sure if there's anything else that I need to do for them to show up.
I'm not stupid, just a bit inexperienced as to how to do it.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

AS an aside, AmpliTube works fine as a stand alone, as does Reaper. I'm just wanting these 2 to make friends so I can get some work done.

Amplitube Ik Multimedia

Hey guys,
I just installed AmpliTube 3 Free on my Mac Mini and I have an odd problem. When I load AmpliTube I got a rush a static noise that sounds like a radio tuned to a station with no affiliate. It lasts about 1.5 seconds then goes away. It continues to do this as long as AmpliTube is turned on every 3-5 seconds. The odd part is that when I load it into my CuBase 6 software and add AmpliTube to my newly recorded track, the static transfers to the wav file that I create. Any ideas what would be causing this? I am using a Scarlett 2i4 interface, but I can change that to my USB mic and still get the same static issues. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
